Here we go! (1)

I first saw this concept on Tabatha's Blog and realized that's exactly what I need right now to motivate myself to get stuff done. What better way to feel productive than to cross off a checklist you're advertising to the world? Here are the details...

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie, no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie, represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Awesome list!! A few thoughts:

#14...a welding class? How cool!
#30...this site might help (
#42...would a community Rock Band count? ;)
Make sure you do #46 before #5!
You can do #94 & #100 at the same time if you go to UT/ou weekend!

Thanks so much for the comment! I've already met 2 new bloggers through this thing, crazy!! You know, I haven't tried Bubba's Burgers, but I've seen it advertised at Astros games, so I will definitely check that out. Plus 59 and Westpark is close to where I work, thanks for the recommendation!

Thats Animaniacs video is AWESOME. I may have that goal down before Labor Day!

I loved your list as well, we had quite a few alike.. a couple thoughts:

Skydive - I thought long and hard about putting this on mine, but I am absolutely terrified of it. I don't want to do anything where there is a chance of dying. Maybe on my next 101!! But good luck!

I totally want to come to your murder mysery game, ha! That would be so much fun!

The imdb top 100 - I look at that list all the time, that's a helluva challenge! I'm just doing one per month, with a rating of about 7.5 or higher (Breakfast at Tiffany's is first, probably tonight)..

The USA top 41 wonders - That's awesome...I'm jealous

Mile without stopping...I'm totally going to procrastinate this one, ha!

Best of luck, I'm going to add you to my favorites so that I continue to check your progress!
